The subsidy for the health insurance is a financial aid that the Canton provides to individuals or families in the event of financial difficulties. With the subsidy it is therefore possible to obtain assistance for the payment of the health insurance premium, which it can be total or partial. To be entitled to a health insurance subsidy, it is essential to submit the application to the Canton by 31 December. It is however possible to submit a late application after this deadline, but in this case the right to the subsidy starts from the moment of acceptance and not from the beginning of the year.
